# Pellet Grill Basic Trouble Shooting: Pellet Jams

## Pellets jams are the most common issues.

The main cause for a jam is the pellets absorbing moisture. 

**Pellet Jam:**  
Steps to Clear Pellet Grill is Jam  
1\. Open Hopper Drawer.  
2\. Remove two screws holding hopper screen and lift the screen away.  
3\. Remove pellets if necessary to access the Auger Hatch in the center of the hopper.  
4\. Remove two screws on the Auger Hatch and lift cover.  
5\. Remove pellet jam by using pellet vacuum or scoop.  
6\. Once clear, test auger using the test functions in the settings menu.  
7\. Replace Auger Hatch and hopper screen.
